CHITWAN: It is guessed that the population of one-horned rhino has increased in and around Chitwan national park area.
Experts involving in rhino count speculated that the population of rhino might have increased by 3-5 per cent on the basis of baby rhinos seen in course of the count beginning on Chaitra 22.
The true data will be made public on Saturday after completing the count, according to national park source.
Rhino count has yet to be undertaken in Gajapur, Nagarban and Triveni and adjoining areas, informed Assistant Conservation Officer of the national park, Ganesh Panta.
