Oli takes lead to end dispute

KATHMANDU: Top leader of three major parties agreed late this evening to begin another round of talks to iron out all differences, and resolve the ongoing political stalemate at the earliest.


The resolution to hold “constructive dialogue” came about during a dinner meeting, hosted by senior CPN- UML leader KP Sharma Oli at his residence in Balkot, Bhaktapur.


PM Madhav Kumar Nepal, Maoist chairman Prachanda and his three deputies, NC leaders Ram Chandra Paudel, Sher Bahadur Deuba and Dr Ram Sharan Mahat attended the dinner diplomacy.


Oli maintained that his initiative was a bid to sort out the growing suspicion among the rival parties.
