KATHMANDU: Prominent CPN-UML leader KP Sharma Oli has been rushed to Norvic Hospital, Thapathali after his health abruptly deteriorated late Friday evening.

It is learnt that he is receiving treatment in Critical Care Unit (CCU), according to media reports.

According to doctors, he was suffering from common cold and chest infection.

Senior leaders including Jhalanath Khanal and Bhim Rawal went to visit Oli after he was rushed to the hospital.

Earlier, he was admitted to Forest Hills Hospital in Northern Queens of the New York City in the United States after he fell sick while he was returning home soon after attending a conference.

According to a preliminary investigation, the body temperature of Oli had suddenly increased and he was rushed to Forest Hills.

Ex-Home Minister Oli had his kidneys transplanted in the year 2006.
