NAWALPARASI: Prabhu Chaudhary, 28, of Amaraut VDC, died after a tree which he was illegally felling hit him at Gaindakhal Forest area of Sunawal municipality in Nawalparasi on Monday. According to District Forest Officer Moharaj Kafle, the accident took place while a group of five to six were felling trees in the area. Dilliram Tharu was held while fleeing whereas search for the other accused is on, said Kafle.

JHAPA: Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal Kamal Thapa on Monday claimed his party would establish itself as the first power if the constitution was not issued on the stipulated date. Speaking to mediapersons at a press meet organised in Birtamode, Jhapa, Thapa said his party was collecting people’s votes to establish a Sanatan Hindu Nation in the upcoming constitution. “I am not sure the constitution will be issued on the stipulated date due to the power-centered activities of the three political parties,” he reasoned. He said people would not accept the constitution if it was issued without addressing the main agendas put forward by his party. He said the CA meeting should be called soon to issue the statute on time.
DHADING: A pedestrian was killed after she was hit by a truck at Gajuri of Dhading along Prithvi High way on Monday morning. According to District Police Office, Dhading, they are yet to impound the truck and the deceased is yet to be identified. However, they have taken some trucks under control for further investigation.
