KATHMANDU: Former crown prince Paras Shah is still lying in an unconscious state and receiving treatment in the intensive care unit of Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital in Bangkok.
Sunil Khadka, General Secretary of Non-Resident Nepalese Association (Thailand Chapter), told THT over phone that the ex-royal was still on ventilator support even after 48 hours of cardiac arrest that he suffered on Tuesday evening.
“Result of CT Scan of his head was no different from yesterday’s scan,” Khadka said, hinting there was no improvement in Shah’s condition.
Senior Cardiologist Dr Bharat Rawat of Norvic Hospital, Kathmandu, today talked to Samitivej doctors over phone and took stock of ex-crown prince’s condition. They told Dr Rawat that they were still trying to ascertain how much damage Paras’s brain had suffered due to the attack.
Khadka, an aide of the ex-royal, said doctors were doing their best to slowly improve Paras’s brain functioning. “We are hopeful of early improvement.”
