KATHMANDU: CPN-UML chairperson, Jhala Nath Khanal today said that Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai should resign to make way for national consensus.

Inaugurating a three-day long second science exhibition organised by St. Lawrence College, Khanal said that the present government was a major hindrance to end the present political deadlock. “There is no alternative to consensus among the parties to end the present crisis,” he said.

The CPN-UML chairperson further said that there was no possibility of the Constituent Assembly (CA) elections on November 22 despite the announcement for the same.

He alleged PM Bhattarai responsible for current political deadlock and crisis in the country. “The CA was dissolved on the pretext of new elections without declaring a new interim constitution,” he said adding, “This is a betrayal.”

He further said that the CA was dissolved due to differences on state restructuring, names and territory of the states and the draft of new constitution would remain as an ‘archive’ in history.

Out of 40 stalls in the exhibition, GPS tracking system, remote control solar car, home security system, remote control plane, rain

water harvesting, IT-hacking of computer and websites were at the centre of attraction for students.
