Kathmandu: The US Senate has confirmed Peter W Bodde -- a career diplomat with the Senior Foreign Service -- as the next US Ambassador to Nepal, the US Embassy in Kathmandu said on Saturday. A source at the embassy informed that Bodde will arrive in late August to assume his responsibilities after leaving Iraq, where he holds number two position at the US mission. Bodde replaces Scott H DeLisi, who returned this week after more than two years’ stint in Nepal to take the ambassadorial position in Uganda.
