Nepal beat U.S. in final of ICC WCL- IV

KATHMANDU: Nepal secured victory over the United States of America by 8 wickets in the final match of the ICC World Cricket League (WCL) Division-IV held at the Kinrara Academy Oval in Kuala Lumpur today.
It is a second victory of Nepal against U.S and first great international achievement. Earlier, Nepal had bashed United States by 32 runs.
Elected to bat first after winning the toss, the United States of America had posted a target of 146 runs against Nepal after losing all wickets in 48.1 overs.
Nepal easily met the target in 28 overs by losing only 2 wickets.
S P Khakurel bagged 40 runs. G Malla pocketed 66 runs. P Khadka made 25 runs. 13 runs were added by extras while Anil Mandal made only 3 runs.
Meanwhile, B Regmi took five wickets for Nepal and S P Gauchan grasped two wickets. Similarly, P Khadka, S Regmi, and B K Das took one wicket each.
Now Nepal will join Italy, Oman, Bermuda and Uganda in the WCL Division-III tournament, slated from April 28 to May 5 in Bermuda.
The tournament will send top two teams to the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers.
SS Nadkarni, SR Taylor, SJ Massiah, OM Baker, A Mishra, A Rajp, TP Allen, RG Corns, EH Hutchinson, Usman Shuja, Muhammad Ghous, AL Dodson, A Mohammed, A Thyagarajan played for U.S.
SP Khakurel, AK Mandal, G Malla, P Khadka, S Vesawkar, P Airee, B Regmi, A Bhattarai, BK Das, SP Gauchan, S Regmi, P Baskota, C Sawad, RK Vishwakarma played for Nepal.
