Nat'l unity govt soon: Prachanda

POKHARA: UCPN-M Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, ‘ Prachanda’, said that national unity government has no other alternatives at this juncture and it would be constituted soon.
“We have fixed September 25 as the deadline for the political parties to hold internal discussion on thorny issues,” said Prachanda adding that, “ after Sep 25, we will intensify talks between parties to form a national consensus govt.”
But he did not clarified which party will led the new government.
“ Any party may led the new consensus government as the political scenario has changed.”
The former prime minister Dahal said so while extending his support to those Pokharelis who have continued the relay hunger strike to press government for early construction of the Pokhara International Regional Airport (PIRA).
Dahal reached Pokhara on Sunday late afternoon, as reported, to take rest from the political strain.
He has lodged himself at a resort near the World Peace Pagoda.
