KATHMANDU: At a time when consumers have been facing the skyrocketed prices of market goods in the run up to the festive season, the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) again jacked up the prices of petrol, diesel, kerosene and aviation fuel on Tuesday evening.
However, the price of Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) remains unchanged.
According to NOC, the prices of petrol have been increased by Rs. 5 per litre, While the price of diesel and Kerosene have been increased by Rs. 3 per litre each.
Similarly, price of Aviation Turbine Fuel ((ATF) has been increased by Rs. 7 per litre.
As per the new price structure, the price of petrol reached Rs. 130per litre, with the previous price being Rs.125 per litre.
Likewise, the prices of diesel and kerosene reached Rs. 103 per litre. Previously the prices of both fuels were Rs.100 per litre.
Similarly, the price of aviation fuel reached Rs.137 per litre. Previously it was Rs.130.
According to the NOC, the prices of petrol, diesel, kerosene and aviation fuel had to be increased due to the rise of petroleum prices in the international market.
Earlier, the NOC had hiked the price of petro-products on August 10 by Rs. 2 in petrol, Rs. 1 in kerosene and diesel each and Rs. 10 in aviation fuel.
