NFC depot provides rice

BAJURA : Nepal Food Corporation, Bajura, has over 500 quintals of rice in stock for Dashain festival. Basudev Bhatta, NFC Bajura Chief said, “We have 200 quintals of rice at the Martadi depot and 300 quintals at the Kolti depot which is targeted to be sold during Dashain.” NFC chief said, “We are distributing rice to locals twice a week.” However, locals are not getting sufficient rice for Dashain, because the NFC has been providing only 15 to 20 kgs per family citing shortage. “We are selling rice at Rs 34.50 per kg” said Bhatta adding, “Although the quantity is not sufficient but the locals are relived to an extent.”
