KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala has extended his wishes to the natives of the northern mountainous region including Sherpa communities and all the people on the occasion of Gyalpo Losar today.
Many Himalayan ethnic groups including indigenous Sherpa communities are marking Gyalpo Losar organising various programmes and exchanging good wishes on Tuesday.
In a written message, President Koirala, stressing that only democracy ensures equal opportunities to all the ethnic, linguistic, religious and cultural groups, urged to protect the culture.
On the occasion, Koirala stressed the need of collaborative efforts, collaboration and unity and reconciliation in a bid to promulgate new federal democratic republic constitution citing that this alone can transform Nepal into a peaceful and prosperous one.
