CHITWAN: Central member of the Nepali Congress, Arjun Narsingh KC, has claimed that the NC has no difficulty to pick the prime ministerial candidate from the party.
Talking to reporters at Bharatpur Airport on Wednesday, KC said the NC would select an alternative candidate if consensus between Ram Chandra Paudel and Sher Bahadur Deuba was not forged.
Saying that the NC has not only three leaders to lead country, KC added that the party would select next candidate if top three leaders failed to forge consensus regarding the prime ministerial candidate.
Ruling out the allegation that the present deadlock was seen due to NC's failure to pick the prime ministerial candidate, KC said there was no option but to go for fresh elections to end the impasse.
Leader KC said issue of single identity or common identity regarding the federalism should be finalised through referendum.
