DAMAULI: Nepali Congress (NC) vice president and NC parliamentary party leader Ram Chandra Poudel clarified that his party never considered dissolving the Constituent Assembly (CA).
Speaking at a programme organised by the Reporters Club in Damauli, Tanahun, Poudel said that those with vested interests in the CPN-UML are trying to topple the Madhav Nepal-led government and they made such remarks.
Responding a question, Poudel said that the budget of the fiscal year 2009/2010 is in limbo due to the UCPN-Maoist. He added that the Maoists are yet to finalise their decision whether to allow the budget to pass.
Poudel alleged that the new statute and peace processes would be hindered until the Maoists combatants were rehabilitated.
However, in Tuesday's meeting the Maoists had decided not to pass the budget from the Legislature-Parliament.
