NC forms probe committee into Koirala attack

KATHMANDU: Concerning the grave and barbaric attack on Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala, the second largest party has formed a probe committee on Monday to look over the untoward incident.
The committee includes general secretary Prakashman Singh, central members Krishna Chandra Nepali, and Gagan Thapa.
The panel has been formed in response to the attempted attack by Prabesh Basnet on Koirala at a party progamme in Kapan, Kathmandu on 29th October. Basnet had used a wooden frame for the attack but was brought under control.
Regarding the incident, Nepal Police Headquarters have already formed a five-member probe panel yesterday. Till now, however, no revelations have been put forward.
