NC calls Dhading bandh

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress called a Dhading bandh on Monday to demand the release of a party worker detained by the police on charges of stabbing a local youth on the day of Vijaya Dashami Tika.
NC has claimed that they are not disrupting the Prithivi Highway. However, the transportation which passes through the district headquarters has been disrupted and industries and markets are also closed due to the bandh.
The victim is Pawan Bhandari, a resident of Dhading. He was injured in the incident and is undergoing treatment at Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj Kathmandu.
The attacker, Dol Bahadur Magar was captured by the locals in Soragare, Dhading where the incident took place and handed over to the police.
