KATHMANDU: The two largest parties of the recently formed Constituent Assembly (CA) – Nepali Congress (NC) and the CPN-UML – have started negotiations on new government formation.
A meeting between Nepali Congress (NC) President Sushil Koirala and CPN-UMl Chairman Jhala Nath Khanal is underway at the latter’s residence in Dallu.
The duo are said to have been discussing on the government formation and issues concerning the change of head of the state as per the fresh people’s mandate. However, details are yet to be known.
While NC is the largest party representing in the CA with 196 seats, CPN-UML is the second largest party that has secured 175 seats in the CA.
