Myagdi VDC secys amass random service charge

MYAGDI: The service recipients in the district have complained that most of the VDC secretaries were taking service charge randomly.
Most of the secretaries of 41 VDCs in the district were imposing charge without keeping records and giving bills to the locals.
Similarly, the locals have not been provided the receipts even in Singa VDC adjoining the district headquarters.
It is learnt that the secretaries have not turned up in Mudi, Gurja and other VDCs in the western belt of Myagdi district for vital registration for long.
The stakeholders concerned said the local administration including the District Development Committee was silent in spite of random charge the VDC secretaries were imposing on people.
