KATHMANDU: The body of Nepali trainee pilot Kshit Chand was found today from the sea off a central province of Philippines, where he had gone missing while a small plane he was co-piloting met with an accident on Saturday.
The plane was carrying Philippines’ Interior Secretary Jesse Robredo. The Associated Press reported that the Nepali student pilot’s body was seen along with the plane’s Filipino pilot on the cockpit of the ill-feted twin-engine Piper Seneca plane.
The bodies of the plane’s Filipino pilot and Nepali student pilot were jammed inside the cockpit and would be retrieved later, The Associated Press said quoting a local officer.
“At 7:25 this morning, our volunteer divers found the fuselage with bodies inside,” AP quoted Philippines Transport Secretary Mar Roxas as telling reporters today.
