KATHMANDU: Newly appointed ministers today expressed dissatisfaction over the delay in the announcement of their portfolios.
Speaking at Reporters’ Club, Minister from CPN-UML Radha Gyawali said although her party had appointed her to be education minister, she is yet to receive the portfolio.
Not having a portfolio has put her in a tight spot amid a number of congratulations, best wishes and queries about which ministry she is leading, Gyawali said.
Likewise, newly recruited minister from Nepali Congress Sura Man Dong complained that he faces a dilemma every time he is asked about his portfolio in public.
He has not moved to Pulchowk quarters for ministers as he doubts he might be removed from the Cabinet soon, he added.
However, Minister Top Bahadur Rayamajhi expressed happiness at not being limited to one ministry. “I am committed to the country,” he said.
