Miley Cyrus vents rage on Twitter over gossip

LONDON: Bikini-Clad Miley Cyrus raises eyebrows by cosying up to another man – but insists they're just good pals, reported British daily The Sun on Thursday.
The 19-year-old newly-engaged star was pictured looking very close to male friend and assistant Cheyne Thomas as they enjoyed a dip in the pool in Miami.
The former Disney star got engaged to actor Liam Hemsworth two weeks ago - but her sunshine antics have got tongues wagging.
Annoyed with people's assumptions that all isn't well in her love life, she has taken to Twitter to vent.
She wrote: "So now because I am engaged I can't have a friend of the opposite sex? Can't have a friend help me out while I'm working all day? #dumb."
And just to prove her point even more, she wrote: "I love my fiancé and he loves me. All the rest is b*******. We get to live a life of happiness. No one can take that away from us!"
Meanwhile, the star's pal Cheyne defended Miley, urging gossips and critics to leave her and Liam alone.
He wrote: "People should learn to be happy for others and not always try to ruin everything. They're happy as hell, let them have that."
He continued: "If that seems like strange behavior to you then maybe you should re-evaluate your friendships and quit worrying about mine."
And just to ensure everyone had got the message that nothing untoward was going on, Cheyne insisted he and Miley are just good friends.
He said: "Not sure if you guys realise it or not but you can hang out with your friend and look happy and be having fun. There's nothing wrong with that."
