Maoist hands out portfolios for GC

KATHMANDU: A meeting of top leaders of the UCPN-Maoist held today has decided to divide portfolios to its leaders for the preparation of the party's general convention.
The UCPN (Maoist) has scheduled its general convention in February, 2013. The meeting divided portfolios to the leaders as per the decision of the plenum recently held in the capital.
Leader of the UCPN-Maoist, Krishna Bahadur Mahara, said that the agenda and portfolio division prepared by the central office will be presented at a meeting of the Central General Convention Organising Committee schedule for this afternoon.
As per the decision, 'central office' has been formed comprising party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and leaders Dr Baburam Bhattarai, Narayan Kaji Shrestha and Posta Bahadur Bogati.
