Man dies as truck pulls cables to topple electric pole

KATHMANDU: A man died as an electric pole he was working on toppled after a truck pulled along the loose electric cables at Pakanepati of Chhaling VDC of Bhaktapur district on Sunday afternoon.
According to police, Kumar Lama (24) died on the spot at around 1 pm today.
A permanent resident of Handikhola of Makwanpur, Lama was trying to fix the loose cables when the incident occurred.
Police have impounded the driver and the truck and have initiated an investigation into the case.
