Madhesi trade union shuts industries

MORANG: Madhesi Trade Union shut industries in Morang Industrial Corridor saying that trade union representatives, industrialists and the government signed an agreement and agreed to low allowance.
Protesting the new agreement, Madheshi trade union shut around half dozen industries in Sunsari and Morang industrial corridor on Friday.
The Madhesi trade unions closed Raghupati Joot Mill, Swastik Oil, Surya Garment, Reliance Spinning mill and other industries, said trade union leaders.
Madheshi Trade Union Forum, Independent Democratic Trade Union, Federation Forum (Democratic), Nepal Progressive Trade Union and some others protested the agreement.
They have been demanding that Madhesi Trade Union be represented in board and minimum salary of Rs. 10,000.
