Locals hand over drinking water project to Users' Committee

PALPA: A huge gathering of locals of Tansen over drinking water decided to handover the management of the drinking water project, which has been run by the government, to users' committee on April 4.

According to Chairman of the Committee, Chakor Man Shakya, the management of the drinking water will be handed over at the presence of Minister for Physical Planning and Works, Hridayesh Tripathi, and Chief Secretary, among others.

It is said that problem of drinking water will be resolved in Tansen if the 2,110 taps were distributed.

A total of 1,755 have been already distributed in Tansen.

Speakers and general public participating in the gathering stressed on controlling of water leakage and also added that no taps should be distributed four to five in numbers for each house.

Leaders of local political parties, Chief District Officer, Security Chief, representatives of civil society, media persons, among others were present in the gathering.
