LONDON: Andrew Lloyd Webber probably has a snap of Nicole Scherzinger above his bed.
The lord has taken his fascination with the singer to another level by approaching Nicole to be a judge on his new ITV1 talent show, reported British daily The Sun on Thursday.
He's finding a lead for his hit musical Jesus Christ Superstar, which is going on an arena tour.
A source said: "Andrew is obsessed with Nicole — he thinks the world of her.
"As soon as he got the nod his new show was going to happen, Nicole was his No1 target.
"He's got a great working relationship with her and Nicole hugely respects his work." Lloyd Webber ended his association with the BBC after four series of musical talent shows.
Auditions for his latest production, called Superstar, will start next month and he'll be looking for a rock singer to play Jesus. Steve Balsamo, who starred in the show's West End productions in the Nineties, has already been confirmed as one of the other judges.
Theatre king Lloyd Webber is a longtime fan of Nicole.
He asked her to sing a theme from his musical Phantom Of The Opera on the Royal Variety Show last month and also snapped her up to play Mary Magdalene in the film version of Jesus Christ Superstar.
They have had several meetings in London to discuss the new television project.
Nicole has previously spoken of her desire to concentrate on music in 2012.
But a few months in the company of her favourite Lord is likely to be an offer too good to turn down.
We'll have to wait and see if she can do a better job than Christian from EastEnders.
