NUWAKOT: Lightning that struck a house in Fikuri VDC on Thursday took lives of two persons.
The lightning that fell on the house of Ananda Prasad Ojha of Fikuri-6 killed his neighbor Roj Kumari Neupane (30) and Menuka Poudel (13) of Dandagaun-1, Rasuwa on the spot, confirmed the District Police Office, Nuwakot.
Menuka, a relative of Ojha, had turned up there to attend a wedding ceremony while neighbor Neupane was assisting the preparations of the wedding, police informed.
Besides, four persons involving in the preparations of wedding ceremony at the house of Ojha yesterday fainted with the lightning strike. The injured returned home after treatment at the District Hospital Trishuli.
Earlier, a student belonging to Suryamati VDC had lost his life due to lightning that occurred three days ago.
