Lightning claims one in Nuwakot

NUWAKOT: A person died and five others were injured in different incidents of lightning strikes in Nuwakot district last night.
The deceased is 50-year-old Jagat Bahadur Thing of Betini VDC-1, according to the District Police Office, Nuwakot.
Likewise, Saila Tamang, Kul Bahadur Tamang, Mui Tamang and Ram Kumar Tamang of Balkumari VDC-7 were hurt after being struck by the lightning, police said. The injured are being rushed to Bidur, the district headquarters of Nuwakot, for treatment. Similarly, five buffaloes and five goats also died in the incident.
