LONDON: Lewis Hamilton last night hinted he could get back with Nicole Scherzinger and said: "I still love her very much," reported British daily The Sun on Friday.
The Formula One star, 26, confessed: "We still have very, very strong feelings for each other.
"You know, it's still very early days. Who knows, maybe we'll be together in the future."
The couple blamed their hectic lifestyles for their split last month after four years together.
But yesterday — wearing a diamond-encrusted black crucifix given to him by former Pussycat Doll singer Nicole, 33 — Lewis spoke out about photographs in The Sun of their tense meeting in an LA car park on Monday.
He said: "You didn't catch us at the best of times. But what you didn't see is that we had a really good week.
"We had a couple of really nice lunches together and that day we had a really nice dinner. It was a really positive few days. I came away from LA feeling great and things are getting into perspective."
The Brit racer, who is preparing for Sunday's Brazilian Grand Prix in Sao Paulo, recalled how US X Factor judge Nicole was at his side when he won there in 2008.
He said: "I go into this weekend in a positive frame of mind.
"Nicole was here with me when I won the world championship so I have very good memories."
