LALITPUR: Senior Vice Chairman of UCPN-Maoist, Mohan Baidya has claimed that conspiracy was being hatched to dissolve the Constituent Assembly and thereby not drafting the pro-people constitution.
Releasing the book "Nepali People's War" by Dr Rhishiraj Baral here on Saturday, leader Baidya accused the leadership of the major parties of undermining the values of the CA and taking a unilateral decision on the constitution making issues.
Baidya who is taken as a hardliner in the party further ruled out any possibility of drafting the constitution in the interests of the nation and the country and stressed the need of taking the revolution ahead through a new way.
Also speaking in the same programme, UCPN-Maoist Secretary CP Gajurel accused the top leaders of the major parties of ignoring the voices of the CA and planning to draft the constitution upon the direction of foreign forces.
Commenting on the book, Maoist leader Surya Prakash Subedi said that the book had been successful in reflecting the situation of the country during and after the conflict.
Similarly, writer Dr Baral said attempts have been made to give a realistic description of the impact of decade-long conflict in the Nepalese society.
