Karate competition to rope in 5 nations

KATHMANDU: Nepal Sitorio Karate Do Association is going to organise the first Katsuhiko Gibo Memorial International Karate Competition under the initiative of the Nepal Karate Federation from May 11.
A press release issued today by Chairman of both the federation and Association, Dawa Gurung stated that there will be the participation of five teams from the five development regions, three departmental teams—Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and Nepal Police—of Nepal and national teams of India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Japan in the competition.
There will be participation of over 300 players and the competition will be for 19 gold medals.
The two-day competition will be held at the covered hall of Dasharath Stadium, Tripureshwor in the capital.
