Anti-poll cadres detained
DAMAK: Police on Thursday detained five persons affiliated to different poll-opposing parties from Damak, Jhapa. Those detained have been identified as Federal Limbuwan State Council’s central secretariat member Premdwip Thamsuhang, Lila Thapamagar and others. They had tried to prevent candidates of different parties from reaching the district election office to register their candidacy. Anti-poll activists smashed a bus carrying UML cadres and three other buses heading to the DEO. Limbuwan cadres also tried to prevent the convoy of vehicles headed to the DEO by setting up blockade at Prithvinagar.
