Janakpur strike shows no sign of respite

JANAKPURDHAM: Normal life in Janakpur has been paralyzed today also due to a shut down called by the Mithila State Struggle Committee, demanding Mithila Autonomous State in the new constitution.
The committee called for the Janakpur shut down for indefinite period after five people died on April 30 in a bomb explosion while staging sit-in demanding the Mithila State.
Ranju Jha, Suresh Upadhayay, Jhagadu Mandal, Bimal Sharan Das and Dipendra Das died in the incident. It is said that condition of seriously injured Wajir Shekh, who is undergoing treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, is also critical.
