KATHMANDU: Ireland defeated Nepal by 14 runs in ACC U-19 World Cup at the Endeavour Park in Townsville, Australia on Wednesday.
Ireland had posted a 186-run target for Nepal but Nepal was restricted to 171 all out.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Ireland had secured 185 runs in the 50 overs.
SC Getkate scored 47 runs, AR McBrine achieved 41 runs and TE Kane made 39 runs for Ireland.
Likewise, Avinash Karn, Prithu Baskota, Rahul VK and Bhuwan Karki took 2 wickets each for Nepal.
