KATHMANDU: A meeting of the Publicity Sub-committee formed to mark the Fifth Republic Day held today under the Minister for Information and Communication Raj Kishore Yadav has decided to disseminate news regarding the programmes of the Fifth Republic Day formulated and done by different agencies under the ministry.
The government has already decided to mark the Fifth Republic Day on May 27, 28 and 29 across the country by organising various functions in a splendid manner.
On the occasion, the Department of Information will provide public welfare advertisements to different newspapers while Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) would disseminate features and news by highlighting the multi-dimensions and importance of the Republic Day.
Likewise, Nepal Television would telecast different programmes and interviews regarding the Republic Day and the Radio Nepal would hold discussions on Republic Day and broadcast.
Similarly, the Gorkhapatra Corporation would publish its special edition with features, articles, news on Republic Day while other newspapers would also publish articles, features, and editorials on the Republic Day.
On the occasion, Minister Yadav said that stories and features regarding the democracy fighters and martyrs' contribution who fought for republic should be disseminated specially.
On the occasion, Secretary at the Ministry Abanindra Kumar Shrestha said that novel programmes instead of traditional ones should be presented on the occasion of the Republic Day to give new taste to the people.
