CHITWAN: A market monitoring team has seized inedible substances kept for sale in Chitwan on the eve of the Tihar festival.
Inedible food items having no manufacturing and expiry dates kept in various shops have been taken under control while monitoring the food substances during the festive time.
The food monitoring team confiscated 45 packets of substandard food color and two packets of date expired tea from Jal Laxmi Stores of Narayangarh, informed Food Inspector Nabin Deuja.
Likewise, the team also detected eight cartoons of inedible food color in ANS Enterprises in Narayangarh and five packets of date expired powder milk in New Pradhan Enterprises, Deuja further informed.
We are focused to prevent the sale of inedible substances and firecrackers, which are mostly sold on the occasion of the Tihar, police said.
