KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court has issued an order in the name of government to install Keshav Prasad Baral in the post of commissioner in the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) even by amending the laws.
A joint bench of Justices duo Damodar Prasad Sharma and Girish Chandra Lal ordered the government on Wednesday to amend the laws and induct commissioner Baral, who has been deprived of taking oath of office in the absence of the Chief Commissioner of the CIAA.
Baral had filed a writ petition at the apex court on Asoj 6, 2068 reasoning he could not assume the office though appointed by the President on Magh 7, 2066BS following the parliamentary hearing.
