Indefinite bus strike in Pokhara

POKHARA: Bus workers affiliated to Bus Entrepreneur Committee, Pokhara has called an indefinite bandh by the buses under the committee demanding guarantee on minimum salary to the bus workers.

The workers had demanded a guarantee of NRs 3,050 as their salary as per the minimum salary determined by the government.

Earlier, All Nepal Transportation Committee had submitted a memorandum to Pokhara Bus Entrepreneur Committee demanding the guarantee on their salary.

According to Rim Basyal a member of the workers union, the meet ended without any agreement on Tuesday. He added that as a result they had called a protest which will continue till a positive agreement is reached.

Transportation in the area has been affected due to bandh.
