KATHMANDU: Chairman of the Interim Election Council (IEC), Khil Raj Regmi, and leaders of the major four political parties held talks regarding the dialogue with the agitating political parties to bring them in the election process.
During the meeting held at Chairman Regmi's Official Residence at Baluwatar, the leaders and major political parties and Chairman Regmi held talks over the issues that are to be followed by the government and political parties, said Regmi's Press Advisor Bimal Gautam.
Also in the meeting, they discussed on the threshold of ballot per cent for proportional representation from the upcoming CA election, said Gautam.
The meeting held discussions on taking necessary initiatives by the government and the major political forces to forge an environment for election, said Shiva Khakurel, personal aide to Chairman of the Unified CPN-Maoist Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
UCPN-Maoist Chairman Dahal, Chairman of CPN-UML Jhalanath Khanal, Nepali Congress senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba, NC Vice-president Ram Chandra Paudel, and Chairman of the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Republican Raj Kishor Yadav attended the meeting.
