KATHMANDU: Ireland has posted a 186-run target for Nepal during the ongoing ACC U-19 World Cup being held at the Endeavour Park in Townsville, Australia on Wednesday.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Ireland secured 185 runs in the 50 overs.
To remain in the quarter-final hunt, Nepal must overcome Ireland in their second Group ‘A’ game and make their final league stage match against England meaningful.
In their only meeting at the U-19 World Cup, Nepal had defeated Ireland by 60 runs in the 2006 edition in Sri Lanka.
