LONDON: Helena Christensen's Victoria's Secret days may be long behind her. But in a new lingerie shoot she shows that she still has a figure as stunning as any of today's Angels, reported the Daily Mail on Wednesday.
The 42-year-old Dane, who is the ambassador of the Triumph Essence collection, has designed and models three pieces for the Spring/Summer 2012 range.
Helena's sexy string, lacy bra and body-hugging skirt all have subtle shaping properties - not that she needs them. But it proves that the supermodel clearly knows exactly what luxurious lingerie is all about.
She said: 'For me, it’s essential for a lingerie company to have a female perspective.
'After all, women are wearing these pieces and it’s all about what makes you feel good. And these sophisticated styles definitely do that.'
If you have yet to be convinced that what looks good on Helena will look great on you too, head to Selfridges where a 'Fantasy Mirror' allows shoppers to see what they look look like in the lingerie - without even taking their clothes off.
The interactive way of trying on lingerie simply requires shoppers to select their item of underwear on the digital touch screen. The mirror then creates a 3D visualisation that perfectly maps the chosen lingerie to the shopper's body shape.
The German firm is 125 years old but Triumph's Essence range was only launched last season. It includes a bridal Precious Essence range and an extra-elegant Delicate Essence range.
The Charming Essence series includes decorative tassels, peek-a-boo details, fine Guipure embroidery and flirty straps made of pleated mesh. While the Luxurious Essence range has a sophisticated blend of satin, lace and tiny buttons.
Helena’s flattering designs are definitely a series highlight.
But each Triumph Essence piece is developed to combine perfect fit, precise craftsmanship and small details that make all the difference.
If any of them can make us look vaguely like Helena in the promotion shots, we're sold.
