KATHMANDU: Krishna Lal Panta (33) of Auraha- 6, Bara, was found dead in his rented room in Galkopakha on Saturday. He was a tourist guide for a trekking agency in Thamel. According to police, the body was found dangling from a ceiling fan. The body has been sent to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Maharajgung for a post-mortem.

Child drowns

KATHMANDU: Kushal Rai (9), a son of Harka Bahadur of Hangbung, Panchthar, was found dead in the Bagmati River in Guheshwori on Sunday. The child had gone missing on Saturday. Investigators informed that an investigation is on to establish facts.

Women’s concerns

KATHMANDU:Women in Policy Advocacy Alliance (WIPAA), a national level policy advocacy network, on Sunday, submitted a memorandum to the CPN-ML and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) calling on the two parties to ensure 33 per cent seats for women in every mechanism. A WIPAA statement said they sought quota for inclusive representation of women in every sector.
