Govt holiday for festival marked month ago

KATHMANDU: Although the Sherpa community had celebrated Gyalpo Lhosar a month ago, the government has provided holiday for the festival on Tuesday.
Similarly, President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav, Vice President Paramananda Jha, Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai along with chiefs of political parties have also extended wishes on the occasion of the festival which had been celebrated already on February 11.
It is learnt that Gyalpo Lhosar celebrated by Sherpa community and Sonam Lhosar celebrated by Tamang community falls on the same day in every 12 years.

yea, that should be good to have public holidays in special functions of everypeople living in the country and it should be at that specific day other than rest of days. pema yangchen sherpa, sydney
