KATHMANDU: The national level inter-school quiz contest Horlicks Genius Nepal 2009 is scheduled to start from November 1. The contest organised by Horlicks in association with Kathmandu University High School has invited participation from schools across Nepal.
According to a Horlicks press statement of October 26, a maximum two teams from a school are eligible to participate in the contest. The preliminary rounds of the contest will be held in 16 different centres across Nepal namely Biratnagar, Birendranagar, Birgunj, Birtamode, Butwal, Chitwan, Dang, Dharan, Hetauda, Janakpur, Kathmandu, Kavre, Mahendranagar, Nepalgunj, Lalitpur and Pokhara.
Four best teams selected from each centre will qualify for the quarter finals that will be held the same day at the respective centres. Finally, one team from each centre will qualify for the semi-finals. A total of 16 teams will qualify for the semi-finals out of which four highest scoring teams will make it to the final round to compete for the title of Horlicks Genius Nepal 2009.
