KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Loktantrik Bijaya Kumar Gachhadar said on Saturday the major parties should give Madhesi parties an opportunity to lead the country.
"Since the big parties have failed to end the political deadlock and couldn't select a new prime minister, a leader from Madhesi parties should be selected as the next prime minister," he said speaking at a function here today.
"The country is passing through a serious crisis. The process and statute-drafting have been sidelined. There is a danger that the country may become a failed state," he said.
He also said that his party will not agree to pacts reached among the three parties.
