NAWALPARASI: Kawasoti Police Office has detained fugitive Bishal Lama aka Nabin for his involvement in the killing of Santosh Shrestha, a staff at the Narayani Transportation Entrepreneurs’ Association.
A team of Area Police Office, Nawalpur detained accused Lama from his hideout in Indrachowk of Kawasoti on Tuesday night, said DSP Mukunda Marasini, of Kawasoti Police Office.
Lama, native of Bharatpur, along with his associates, had been absconding after they attacked Shrestha with a sharp weapon last year. Seriously injured Shrestha, who was rushed to a hospital for treatment, had succumbed to his injures while undergoing treatment.
The detained Lama has been handed over to the District Police Office, Chitwan for further action.
