Fringe leftist parties come down on CJ-led govt proposal

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Baam Loktantrik Manch, a forum of four fringe leftist and democratic political parties on Tuesday condemned the ruling UCPN-Maoist proposal to constitute an election government under sitting Chief Justice leadership.
Issuing a press release today, four parties — CPN-ML, Rastriya Janamorcha, Janamorcha Nepal, CPN-United (Marxist) , CPN-Unified (Revolutionary)—condemned the proposal for being against the democratic theory and the Interim Constitution.
They have also highlighted the need for the formation of a national unity government to hold Constituent Assembly polls as the prime need of the nation in the statement.
