KAWASOTI: The Sundari Community Forest Users' Group at Amarapuri of Nawalparasi has gifted houses to impoverished consumers. The forest gave three houses this year. The gro-up handed over the houses to them as they had to take shelter in waiting halls, crossroads and other's yards in the evening after toiling in the day. Each house cost Rs 87,000, said Group Chairman Badri Prasad Sapkota. The group has so far made 15 such houses. Ran Bahadur Ale, Aitamaya Bote and Ganga Bahadur Pariyar who got the houses were happy as they got it near Dashain festival. The forest had also got the Ganeshman Conservation Prize this year.
Food poisoning kills
MAHOTTARI: Two children of the same family died after consuming poisonous fish at Singayahi VDC-7 in Mahottari district on Friday. Bisundev Yadav’s daughter Laxmi (9) and son Suraj (3) breathed their last on their way to the Janakpur Zonal Hospital. They had eaten the fish brought from the nearby pond on Friday.
