HETAUDA: Police on Thursday made public four drugs smugglers at a press conference at district police office of Makawanpur. A joint team from Narayani Zonal Police Office and District Police Office had arrested Bidur Giri‚ 54‚ Maila Lama‚ 50‚ Somdas Lo‚ 43‚and Ramsingh Lo‚ 36‚ of Gogane with 204 kg hashish from Bhainse-3. SSP Sarbendra Khanal identified Giri as the kingpin who war running the drug racket.

Seven hurt in accident

RAMECHHAP: Seven persons were injured after a mini truck met with an accident at Bhirpani VDC in Ramechhap on Thursday afternoon. The truck was heading to Pakarbas VDC from Bhirpani VDC carrying heavy load along with 35 passengers. A critically injured Krishna Nepali of Khandadevi VDC has been sent to a hospital in Kathmandu for treatment‚ said DSP Bimal Kandel. The truck fell 20 meters below the road. Others who were injured are receiving treatment in Khitkha of Bhirpani.

Two guns seized

SIRAHA: Armed Police Force‚ Siraha seized two guns from Lalpur in Siraha on Wednesday night. The police team reached the site when they heard the sound of firing and seized the guns that were thrown into the bush‚ informed inspector Prakash Budhathoki of APF base camp‚ Gol bazaar. Police suspect the guns might have been fired to chase burglars.
