KATHMANDU: After the CPN-UML, the third largest political force in the Constituent Assembly(CA) refused to join the government, the full-fledged shape of the national consensus government is yet to emerge.

The Nepali Congress (NC), which has joined the Baburam Bhattarai-led government, is negotiating with the CPN-UML on Tuesday Morning to become the part of the incumbent government for the sake of timely statute.

Top leaders of NC have reached CPN-UML’s headquarters in Balkhu to assure UML that reshuffling of some ministerial portfolios in the government is possible.

Reiterating that they are not for continuing with the earlier government but would go with the new government, big guns inside UML have been objecting the government‘s move over restricting the ministries and distribution of ministries without consulting them.

Even though the UML opted to stay away from the Bhattarai-led government, UML has decided to play a constructive role in concluding the peace and constitution-drafting processes, abiding by the five-point deal inked among parties.
